BBQGuys.com Randy Watson is Living his Best Live Fire Life

By Kevin Sandridge

Randy Watson BBQGuys.com

Hey everyone, and welcome to another episode of The BBQ Beat Podcast, where it’s my pleasure to share great stories related to BBQ and Grilling as told by the awesome people who inspire them.

About This Episode

I’m talking with Randy Watson, Grill Master and Brand Representative at BBQGuys.com – one of the world’s largest online retailers of BBQ Grills, smokers, pizza ovens, and outdoor cooking supplies – headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA.

Randy has a compelling story about the unique way he moved into his current role at BBQGuys.

Randy’s Favorite Grills, His Dream Patio Setup, and More!

We’ll discuss the history of the company from its origins in 1998 as The Grill Store & More, a brick and mortar retail store in Baton Rouge to today, where one could argue they hold the top spot among online BBQ and Grilling retailers.

To give you an idea of their overall financial picture, reports are that BBQGuys.com posted $130 million in revenue last year.

As a side note – both BBQGuys.com and Blaze Grills were recently purchased by Private Equity firm Brand Velocity Partners who, in turn, have brought NFL greats and Louisiana royalty Peyton, Eli, and Archie Manning as well as former NFL running back superstar LaDainian Tomlinson.

We’ll also get into some of Randy’s favorite grills and smokers, including the very cool Nuke Argentinian style grill line and some marine quality grills for those of you who might want to take your life fire cooking out onto the open seas!

Finally, I quiz randy on his favorite pork, poultry, and beef entrees and get his take on what his ultimate blank check outdoor cooking setup might look like.

Be sure to stay tuned throughout the entire episode, and remember that these podcast interviews are for you guys. If you have guests that you’d like me to reach out to in the future, be sure to contact me and let me know!
