Reader’s Recipe for Smoked Buttery Corn

By Kevin Sandridge

I love getting BBQ recipes from my readers, and this one from E.B. Lyda from Wichita, KS for Smoked Buttery Corn makes for a tasty and easy to prepare side dish. I’m also adding some information below on another BBQ Smoked Corn recipe, this one from the good folks at Cookshack Pellet Grills, so be sure to scroll down below E.B.’s recipe to watch the video on that one.

Oh, If you have a recipe for a side, a protein, or dessert you’d like to share, please email it to me along with preparation photos and a shot of it on your smoker!

Smoked Buttery Corn Recipe

Feeds 3-4 people

Cook time about 2-2.5 hours at 175 degrees Fahrenheit

This is one of my family’s favorites (especially my grandson).

Preparation

Need 1 used pie pan, 1 12oz bag of frozen corn, 4 tbsp. salted butter (about ½ stick), ½ tsp black pepper, ½ tsp Lowrey’s Seasoning salt

Add 12 oz bag of frozen corn to pie pan, level the corn inside the pan

Sprinkle ½ tsp black pepper over corn

Sprinkle ½ seasoned salt over corn

Place ½ stick of salted butter in middle of corn

Place the pie pan in your smoker 2 to 2.5 hours before your meat is done.

At 2 hours stir the smoked buttery corn then continue smoking for another 30 minutes.

There you have it! A nice and simple prep for a side dish that’s sure to please! Again, send in your own recipes to share by emailing them to me here!

Smoked Corn on the Cob – Cookshack Pellet Grills Style

This is a neat summertime recipe for smoked corn on the cob. The video below goes through the prep and smoking process, and it also includes a great BBQ Butter Glaze recipe for finishing off the corn once it’s ready.

Cool, huh? Did you notice how the corn husks were broken off at the bottom? That’s a neat trick to avoid having to deal with all those individual corn silk fibers and what not at the top of the ear!

For more information on Cookshack’s Pellet Grills, be sure to check out the review I did here.

Hope you enjoyed these two Smoked Corn on the Cob recipes. If you try one of them out, be sure to comment below and let me know how it went!
